How to log in to XM (Reasons why you can’t log in to the member page, MT4/MT5, or app)
To log in to XM’s Member Page or the XM App, use the email address and password you created when registering your profile. Since multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been introduced, you will also need to enter a one-time password (OTP) at login. To access XM’s trading platforms (MT4/MT5), use the login ID and server name provided when you opened a real account, along with the password you set yourself. Please refer to the instructions for logging in to the different XM tools, as well as possible reasons why you may be unable to log in.

The information required to log in to the XM Member Page, along with the login procedure, is outlined below. Once logged in, you can make deposits and withdrawals, open additional or demo accounts, reset your login password, update your registration details, and more.
Information required to log in to the XM member page
You can log in to your XMTrading Member Page (My Page) using the email address and password you created when registering your profile. With the introduction of multi-factor authentication (MFA), you will also be required to enter a one-time password (OTP) when logging in.

If you have registered or converted your profile, you will no longer be able to log in with your MT4/MT5 ID, so please use your registered email address to log in.
How to log in to the XM app
Here’s how to log in to the XM app. By logging in, you can manage your account more conveniently and trade smoothly on the go using your mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
Enter your login information
Launch the XM app and enter the email address and password you set when registering your profile .
Tap “Log in”
Once you have entered your login information, tap ” Login .”
You have now successfully logged in to the XM app. If you have not completed your XM profile registration, you will not be able to log in. Please open an XM account by clicking “Open an account” below the login button.
If you have forgotten your password, tap “Forgot your password?” to reset it.
Save your login information for quicker access to the XM app!
Depending on your mobile device, you may be able to use Touch ID, Face ID, or other biometric authentication when logging in. You can also save your login information to access the XM app without entering it again next time.
If you are unable to log in to your XMTrading Member Page (My Page) or the XMTrading app, an error message such as “Login information is invalid” will appear. If you cannot log in to MT4/MT5, messages like “Invalid account” or “Line disconnected” will be shown in the connection status at the bottom right of the screen. The following may be the reasons for login issues across various tools.
If you are unable to log in, your account may have been frozen. A frozen account cannot be reactivated, so please open a new XM real account by clicking the “Open an account” button in the error message. Once you open a new (additional) account, you will be able to log in to the Member Page, MT4/MT5, and the XM app.

In addition to XMTrading (xmtrading.com), XM (xm.com) and XMGlobal (xmglobal.com) are also part of the XMTrading brand. The company provides services worldwide in 196 countries and 20 languages.
Accounts opened through the Japanese version of XMTrading are not shared across all XM Group brokers. Your MT4/MT5 ID and password are exclusive to XMTrading, so if you cannot log in, please ensure you are accessing the XMTrading Member Page.
XM MT4/MT5 accounts frozen
At XM, if your account has no balance and no trading activity for a certain period (90 days), it will be frozen, and you will not be able to log in to your XM MT4/MT5 real account. Even if your MT4/MT5 account is frozen, the account itself remains active. You can log in to your Member Page (My Page) using the email address and password you registered when opening your XM account to create and use a new trading account. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking “Forgot your password?” at the bottom right of the login screen.

MT4/MT5 login information is incorrect
If you are unable to log in to XMTrading’s MT4/MT5, an error will appear on the platform. On a PC, the connection status at the bottom right will show “Invalid account” or “Line disconnected” (a red mark for MT5). On a smartphone (iPhone/Android), it will display “Invalid account” or “Authentication failed.”
What to do if you cannot log in to XM MT4/MT5 on your PC

If you receive an error message and cannot log in to XM’s MT4/MT5, please ensure that you have entered (or selected) the correct login information (login ID, password, and server name) and try again. When copying and pasting your login ID and password, be careful not to include any extra spaces.
When logging in to XMTrading’s MT4/MT5 on a PC, you must select the server for your real account. Sometimes, you may be unable to log in if your server does not appear or if the wrong server is selected. If your server is missing from the server field, scan for XM servers using the method below, select the correct server, and try logging in again.
How to scan a server with MT4
From the File menu at the top of MT4, click “Apply for a Demo Account”, then click “Scan” at the bottom right of the screen. Once your server appears in the list, close the Apply for a Demo Account screen and log in again via “Log in to Trading Account” in the File menu.
How to scan a server with MT5
From the File menu at the top of MT5, click “Open a Demo Account”, enter “XMTrading” in the brokerage search field, and click “Find a Brokerage Firm.” Once the scan is complete, close the Apply for a Demo Account screen and log in again via “Log in to Trading Account” in the File menu.
- XM operates multiple servers, including XMTrading, XM.com, and XMGlobal. Server names also differ between real and demo accounts, so if you cannot log in to MT4/MT5, please ensure the correct server is selected.
I don’t know the login password for my MT4/MT5 account.
The password for logging in to your XM MT4/MT5 account is the one you set when opening your real account. It is not included in the “Welcome to XM” email sent after account opening. Please note that this password is different from your XM Member Page (My Page) password. If you do not know your MT4/MT5 password and cannot log in, please reset it via the XM Member Page.
