XMTrading is committed to providing a seamless trading experience and ensuring that deposits are promptly reflected in your trading account. However, there may be instances where deposits fail or funds are not credited due to various reasons. Below are the most common causes and solutions for deposits not being processed or funds not appearing in your account.

Credit/Debit Card

If you attempt to deposit funds into your XMTrading account using a credit or debit card but the deposit fails or is not reflected, you may see an error message stating ‘Deposit request failed.’ Please check whether any of the following situations apply to you.

Unsupported Credit/Debit Card in Use

At XM, you can deposit funds using VISA and JCB credit/debit cards. However, even if your card is VISA or JCB, it cannot be used if the card issuer prohibits deposits to overseas FX brokers. Please check your card issuer’s terms and conditions or contact them directly to confirm whether your card allows deposits to overseas FX brokers.

Card Has Expired

If your credit or debit card has expired, deposits may fail or not be reflected in your account. We recommend checking your card’s expiration date before making a deposit.

Card Limit Exceeded

If you have exceeded your credit/debit card limit, your deposit may fail or not be reflected in your account. When depositing to XMTrading (XM) using a credit or debit card, ensure that your card has a credit limit equal to or greater than the deposit amount. Please check your card’s available credit before making a deposit.

Insufficient Funds in Linked Account

If you are depositing funds using a VISA or JCB debit card, your linked bank account may have insufficient funds. Since debit cards are connected to bank accounts, we recommend verifying that your account balance is equal to or greater than the amount you wish to deposit to XM before proceeding.

Domestic bank transfer

When you transfer funds to XMTrading via a domestic bank, XM will send a confirmation email to your registered email address once the funds are received and the deposit is processed. If you do not receive this email, please check whether any of the following situations apply.

Transfers Made Outside Banking Hours

If you transfer funds to XM outside domestic bank business hours, the deposit will be reflected in your XM trading account around 9:00–10:00 a.m. on the next banking day. Even if the transfer is made during business hours, sending it just before the bank closes may result in a longer processing time before the funds appear in your account.

Incorrect Deposit Account Specified

If you have multiple XMTrading accounts, deposits may fail or not be reflected if the incorrect trading account is specified. XM credits funds to the MT4 or MT5 account entered in the remittance requester name field during a domestic bank transfer. Please verify the trading account listed in this field on your transfer statement.

bitwallet, STICPAY, BXONE

If you deposit funds into your XMTrading account using bitwallet, STICPAY (*), or BXONE and the deposit fails, you may see an error message stating ‘Deposit request failed.’ Please check whether any of the following situations apply.

We are currently not accepting payments via STICPAY.

Insufficient wallet balance

Your wallet may not have sufficient funds to cover the deposit amount. If you proceed with the deposit on the XM member page and confirm the payment in your wallet, an error message will appear if the balance is insufficient. Please add the required funds to your wallet and then retry the deposit procedure to XM.

There may not be enough funds in your wallet to cover the amount you have deposited. If you proceed with the deposit procedure from the XM member page and tap the button to confirm the payment on your wallet, a message will be displayed if there is insufficient funds in your wallet. Please deposit the necessary funds into your wallet and then proceed with the deposit procedure to XM again.

Apple Pay

When you deposit funds into your XM trading account using Apple Pay, XM will send a confirmation email to your registered email address once the funds are received and the deposit is processed. If you do not receive this email, please check whether any of the following situations apply.

Attempting to Deposit from a Non-Apple Device

Please note that Apple Pay deposits are only supported on Apple devices (iPhone, Mac, etc.). Deposits cannot be made from non-Apple devices such as Windows PCs or Android devices.

The Apple Pay Card Has Expired

If the card registered with Apple Pay has expired, you may be unable to make a deposit or the deposit may not be reflected. Please renew the card and register the new card with Apple Pay before attempting the deposit again.

Cryptocurrencies (Crypto Assets)

When you deposit virtual currency (crypto assets) into your XMTrading account, XM will send a confirmation email to your registered email address once the funds are received and the deposit is processed. If you do not receive this email, please check whether any of the following situations apply.

Non-Standardized Token

When depositing cryptocurrencies (crypto assets), each blockchain has specific token standards, and transfers must follow these standards. Sending a cryptocurrency using the wrong token standard may result in the funds not being received and potentially lost. Please ensure that you select the correct token standard when making a cryptocurrency deposit.

Remittance QR Code or Wallet Address Expired

When depositing virtual currency (crypto assets), the QR code and wallet address displayed are valid for only 15 minutes. If more than 15 minutes have passed, please generate a new QR code and wallet address for the transfer. Note that each QR code and wallet address can only be used once, so a new code and address must be created for each deposit.
